UAE road toll · top-up

Add funds to your UAE toll tag in a couple of quiet minutes.

Platenumberup is an independent online service that lets drivers in the United Arab Emirates top up their road toll account in AED, without installing an app or visiting a service centre. Pay with Visa or Mastercard. Choose 50, 100, 150, 200 AED or set a custom amount up to your account limit.

Independent service. Not affiliated with any UAE government body or toll operator. Card data is handled by the payment processor, not on our side.

How a top-up moves through the service

The wizard mirrors the layout you already know from UAE e-government portals. Three steps, one screen each, no surprise fields. Everything happens on a single device session — there is nothing to install.

Recharge amount

Pick a preset — 50, 100, 150 or 200 AED — or enter a custom amount. We also ask for the mobile number tied to your toll account and the emirate of issue.

Payment

You are forwarded to our secure payment companion. Enter your Visa or Mastercard details, confirm the amount in AED, and submit.

Confirmation

A confirmation page is shown, and the order reference is included in the receipt. Funds normally appear on the toll account within minutes.

Need to verify your current balance first? The optional balance check uses the same fields and costs a flat 1.50 AED.

Where the service is available

Drivers from any of the seven emirates can submit a top-up. Pick the emirate that issued your toll tag — the form will then load the categories and plate codes that apply.

What we do, and what we deliberately do not do

We are not a government body, a bank or the toll operator. We are an independent payment-collection service that forwards your top-up amount to the right toll account using the plate details you provide. Here is what that means in practice.

Card data is not stored

Card details are processed by the payment companion and never persisted on our side.

AED only

All amounts are in AED. No currency conversion, no surprise FX charges on our side.

Submission is quick

The wizard takes three steps. Most submissions are accepted within a couple of minutes.

Receipt on every order

You get a numbered order reference and a printable confirmation page after every successful payment.

Common questions

How long does a top-up take to appear on the toll account?

In most cases funds are visible on the toll account within a few minutes of a successful payment. During peak periods the bank-side settlement can extend up to one business hour.

Which cards are accepted?

Visa and Mastercard issued in any country, provided the issuer allows international AED-denominated payments. Other card networks are not supported at the moment.

Is there a service fee?

The top-up itself is processed without a service fee on top of the amount you choose. The optional balance check has a flat fee of 1.50 AED.

What if I entered the wrong plate details?

Contact support within 24 hours with your order reference. If the funds have not yet been credited to the toll account, we will reverse the payment to the original card.
